The campus prides itself on providing a wide variety of clubs and activities for our learners in order to enhance their talents and build on social skills as well as form part of an enriched school experience. We work closely with various external organisations and call upon the exceptional skills of our staff for provision in sport, performing arts and classroom-based sessions.
Both schools have rolling programmes of extra-curricular activities, which mainly take place during lunchtime and after school. There are other times throughout the year dedicated to these too, including curriculum days, activity days and fieldtrips.
Saltburn Primary School offers clubs in arts and crafts, story writing, sports, games, gardening, and song and dance. The school also offers a breakfast club – ‘Sunrise Club’ – and after school club – ‘Sunset Club’ for Saltburn Primary pupils aged 5 to 11 years old. Both take place in the primary hall. Please see the drop down menu for more details on this particular provision.
Huntcliff School provides activities in seasonal sports (football, netball, cricket, badminton, athletics), orchestra, homework club, cookery, science, technology, and student librarians to name but a few. During peak exam time, we devise a revision class programme to give extra help to those Key Stage 4 students studying for their GCSE exams. There are plenty of sports fixtures throughout the year led by the PE department, and our performing arts department gives students the chance to be part of the annual spring-time show in dance, drama, music and singing, costume making and set design. Additionally we provide the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, which gives our students the chance to develop the skills and attitudes they need to become more rounded, confident adults.
As our club and activity timetables are constantly being updated, please ask your child to speak to Mr Rees for Huntcliff School and Mrs Chadwick for Saltburn Primary School to find out what’s on offer this term.
