The federation between Huntcliff School and Saltburn Primary School means that both schools have one governing body overseeing the campus. Governors are responsible for the strategic direction and development of the schools. They are passionate about the quality of the educational experience that every child has where ever they are learning in the campus, driving the campus’s ethos and vision. Governors have legal responsibilities to fulfill, which they do via a mixture of regular governing body meetings. In addition to this they carry out regular visits to school and so see it “in action”, including being involved in the Campus Improvement Team’s subject reviews; and whenever possible participate in school life. Representatives attend the Open Evening, oversee finances, build links with the community and support the appointment of new staff members, plus a range of other activities; they also fulfill their statutory role in establishing all required policies and procedures.
