Saltburn is a seaside town located on the east coast of North Yorkshire; less than 60 miles from Durham and York, and only 20 miles from Whitby. There are plenty of local shops, cafes and restaurants as well as stunning local scenery. The well-known cliff lift, which transports people from the marine parade to the beach, is one of the oldest water powered lifts in the world. Many people love the beautiful walks in and around the Saltburn area, especially along the pier, within the Valley Gardens and the Cleveland Way National Trail, as well as Roseberry Topping, the North York Moors and Runswick Bay. Saltburn has an active community that enjoys theatre, sport, leisure and music, and is very popular with surfers!
